Un son d\u00e9cevant pour certains, dans lequel Joey Bada$$ tentait d\u2019imposer un phras\u00e9 plus \u00e9nergique. Lorsqu\u2019il d\u00e9barque en 2012, son objectif est clair : revenir \u00e0 la base. Il imposera son aura boom-bap sur toute la c\u00f4te Est, alors que le trap devenait le genre musical pr\u00e9dominant dans le rap. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De son premier projet <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1999<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2012) \u00e0 son dernier album <em>ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$<\/em> (2017), Bada$$ continuait de s&rsquo;inscrire dans cet h\u00e9ritage des ann\u00e9es 1990 du rap am\u00e9ricain. V\u00e9ritable apoth\u00e9ose de sa jeune carri\u00e8re, son dernier album, \u00e0 la fois introspectif et politique, reste l\u2019un des meilleurs projets rap de la d\u00e9cennie 2010. S\u2019installant alors \u00e0 la table des Kendrick et consorts , Joey Bada$$ s\u2019\u00e9tait tu un long moment. Comme s&rsquo;il avait ressenti le besoin de faire le point. Car, bien que salu\u00e9es par les critiques, certaines inspirations plus modernes comme sur \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Devastated<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d, avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 mal accueillies par ses fans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le sch\u00e9ma semble s\u2019\u00eatre une fois de plus reproduit avec \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Revenge<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d. \u00c9loign\u00e9 des sonorit\u00e9s \u201cold school\u201d du rappeur, des auditeurs avaient affich\u00e9 leur d\u00e9ception. Celui qui annonce un double album, probablement divis\u00e9 en deux parties, l\u2019une hip-hop et une autre orient\u00e9e vers des influences R&amp;B. La suite des \u00e9v\u00e9nements semble toute trac\u00e9e.
